Are you in the sandwich generation of Caregivers?

Feeling orphaned and abandoned, Melissa, a mother in her 40s, carries the weight of caregiving alone. Raising her 7-year-old daughter while caring for her father, who is battling advanced Parkinson’s, she has no siblings or extended family to rely on. Her husband, once supportive, has grown distant under the pressure and is now pursuing divorce. She feels desperately alone.

Melissa is one of the countless Caregivers who find themselves in the SANDWICH GENERATION of raising children while providing full-time care for a loved one.

When a friend referred Melissa to Makers of Care, it was a lifeline! She received the love, support, and resources she needed in one of our FAITH-BASED support groups.

Then there’s a new Caregiver who reached out to us last week. She is caring for a child with special needs, and her mother (who is only 62!) was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Through a phone call to us, she discovered resources available through her mother’s employer to help ease the financial strain of the situation.

Without our staff to answer her call, she would have missed out on thousands of dollars and stayed alone and desperate.

Caregivers need a shining north star to help them navigate the storm of relentless needs, decisions, and medical emergencies. This is why Makers of Care exists!

Will you help us hire the much-needed staff to answer the desperate calls and needs of Caregivers?

Yes, we know our goal of raising $100,000 is audacious, and we can’t do it without YOU! We pray about this goal day and night because we serve a mighty God and because the needs and dignity of Caregivers matter deeply to us.

Will you help?

Your gift today, of any amount, shines God’s love to those who find themselves in the dark valley of Caregiving and often feel overlooked and forgotten.

A Story of Impact A few weeks ago, we partnered with Redemption Tempe church during a Serve Day to bring help and hope to 17 caregivers and seniors in need. One participant, a woman whose husband is in a care facility, needed help with tasks she could no longer manage independently. But what truly lit up her heart wasn’t the completed chores—it was the kindness of the two men who visited her. They sat with her, listened to her story, shared a cookie and drink, and reminded her that she...
